Today is a down day – a day away from the shop for me. It’s a day I can use to clean up my living area, organize, and drink lots of coffee. A day to type away freely with no time constraints. A day of freedom to go wherever I want within the constraints of the prison. There’s no freedom for the freedom fighters. You can only get so far away when you’re confined. (more…)

Thursday, November 19th, 2009A Photo a Day: Day nineteen
Wednesday, November 18th, 2009The room? Bright. Me? Not so much. I got a fantastic haircut yesterday. I pretty well continuously skirt the edges of what is an acceptable haircut and what isn’t. I’m not trying to make a statement or anything – I just don’t give a shit. (more…)
A Photo a Day: Day eighteen
Tuesday, November 17th, 2009Tardy, tardy. It’s what I seem to be good at recently. The photos, they are a-taken. The uploading? Not so much. Someone think of a good excuse for me, quick like. (more…)
A Photo a Day: Day seventeen
Monday, November 16th, 2009Ugh, I’m getting bad at this. It’s not your fault – daddy and the internet, we’re just taking some time apart. I’ve done a lot of redditing recently, and – I just need to be alone for a while. You didn’t do anything wrong, daddy and the internet both love you very, very much and always will. Too creepy for you? It was either that or I just come out and say, “sorry” for being late two days in a row. Sorry is for suckers. (more…)
A photo a day: Day sixteen
Sunday, November 15th, 2009Hi there. What are you doing? Me? I’m just sitting here. I took this photo yesterday and forgot to upload it – so where it is almost twelve hours late. Don’t hate me. (more…)
A drawing, and why I shouldn’t ever be given a labelmaker.
Sunday, November 15th, 2009I’ve sent lots of letters since I got back from R&R leave. I don’t really have anything of substance to say, so really the experience of receiving a letter from me is a pretty accurate portrayl of having a conversation with me. That must be nice. All letters that go to The War Department Snarah have a drawing on the envelope, or in the envelope. It’s like a crappy trademark.
Hey there – you got some glitch in my matrix.
Sunday, November 15th, 2009My computer is refusing to admit that there is an iPhone attached to it. Which is hilarious, considering iTunes freely admits that it can see and sync to said iPhone. Eat it, Windows Vista Ultimate. You are a piece of crapola and I do not like you one bit. In the meantime here’s a story involving computers, electrocution, coffee, and Armando Salcido – the man with the coolest name ever. (more…)
A Photo a Day: Day fifteen.
Saturday, November 14th, 2009So yeah, a day late. I’m changing the day on this post to keep it in order on the right day, despite my battle with my phone and my laptop. Interesting story: I have no idea why it stopped and decided to start working again. Working with computers all day makes me not reaaaally want to work with computers on my off day. Who knew? (more…)
I’ll let your mirror do that.
Friday, November 13th, 2009I just remembered about shitmydadsays and was reading through it and found this gem:
Always topical, that’s my motto.
A photo a day: Day fourteen
Friday, November 13th, 2009One of the unexpected side effects of writing on this website and having an article in the Post-Dispatch is having people find me. Some are total strangers who, by the quality of their blog, sound pretty awesome. Some are people I knew in Elementary School in Webster Groves. Most are just strangers in St. Louis that don’t think I got a fair shake. I like that I’ve reached out to at least a handful of people. (more…)
